We woke up extra early this morning to get out and do a little shelling before work. South Beach is mini honey hole and today was no exception. We found juvenile Florida fighting conchs out the wazoo and even a piece of a Junonia.

We set out this foggy morning shelling the beautiful Marco Island Beach. We were't expecting much but we found some real treasures. Some highlights of the day were spiny sea stars, calico scallops, a dark shark eye, lightning whelks, a rose petal tellin, and more.
